No Epiphany

Not an epiphany,
just a simple restating of fact,
a realisation of what I knew was there.

When did it start,
I don’t know,
but once the kernel was placed,
it continued to grow,
continued to take me over,
alter my flow,
consume my heart,
and my soul,
bit by bit,

...stealthily,

…through open doors.
