there is warmth and winter sun,
playful heedless fun,
…we just don’t get it.

Road-side stalls selling mangoes,
attitudes relaxed ..time slows,
…we just don’t get it.

Azure blue waters and palm trees,
umbrellas in drinks, island breeze,
…we just don’t get it.

Instead we live, in the cold and the drizzle,
there is no logic, it’s a riddle,
