Carry On,
25th June 2022

Habits die hard, no matter how badly marred,
minds difficult to change once they’re set.

Out-of-date thinking, young lives it is sinking,
if only we understood we’d be upset.

We can’t carry on with bias, accepting comments not so pious,
just because that was a social norm.

We must treat change as next’ godliness, interrogate our minds we must,
cos deep down we’re capable of better form…

Prompt: Carry on (Shall we).
Inspiration: Out of date and insensitive behaviours.
