Uncaring (Time Did Not Age - 4)
10th June 2023

Time does not age me,
as it ages others,
seasons swirl,
stone, ebbs and flows,
my world, inextricably linked to an uncaring silence,
bending, warping, holding onto secrets only it dares to know,
and I follow,
with my own secrets, and beauty,
held close.

My secrets,
as beautiful as they are,
come and go also,
hearts break as they do,
but still they fight the silence,
imagining there is something there that cares,

…to their peril.

Prompt: time did not age
