Cornered (Angry)
17thFebruary 2023

I fight back when cornered,
like now,
like when life closes in on me leaving nowhere to turn,
I become an impatient sort of angry,
…and I fight.

Except now I’m finding myself smothered by the padding around me,
find I’m breathing cotton wool,
punching in thin air.

My being it’s turned tired,
I am earthly bound,
now in an angry, despair.
