Inroduction

17th September 2022

Memories they are tightening,
to a confusion ever frightening,
circles getting smaller,
taking someone dear.

In another pain pervading,
pills become a trading,
to a life lived as a shadow,
of what was.

A fall beckons the end,
hospitals, not sure they mend,
paths stumbled, not knowing,
no control.

An introduction to old age,
final chapters on the stage,
I can’t help but think,
not fit for me.

How to pass away more simply,
find an out more suitably me,
this, …now occupies my thoughts day to day.

Prompt: Introduction
